Coffee and Gender

Coffee is enjoyed throughout the world, regardless of gender, race, politics and religion.


However, despite the fact that everyone seems partial to the odd cuppa or two, there are, if a recent 'National Coffee Survey' (read more here and here) is to be believed, certain differences between the sexes when it comes to coffee.


The following are some of the more notable trends taken from the survey:

Men: 50.8%

Women: 32.8%


Average Coffee Consumption Per Day


Men: 2.4 cups

Women: 1.9 cups


Favourite Coffee Drinks


Men: Regular, Espresso

Women: Latte, Regular


Sweetener Preference


Men: Nothing, Raw Sugar

Wome: Raw Sugar, Splenda


Dairy Preference


Men: Nothing, Half and Half

Women: Half and Half, Skimmed Milk


Coffee Buying Spot


Men: Independent Coffee Shops

Women: Large National Chains
