How Cafe2U's unique Acceleration Package works to ensure successful Franchisees

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

David Ovens from Cafe2U Archerfield, QLD pops the cork to celebrate.

"I couldn't believe I made my target of $2500 turnover in my first four weeks of trading" wrote David in an excited email to Cafe2U support staff.

Cafe2U have a very firm belief that all new franchise partners need to prosper from day one. Its so important to us that we have it written as our mission statement and it proudly hangs in all our meeting rooms for all to see.

Cafe2U makes this happen with its unique "Acceleration Package", designed to make sure that all new franchisees are fully equipped to serve and maintain a daily business run that turns over a minimum of $500 a day.

We are so confident that will happen, we offer a $500 a day income guarantee during the launch period as part of the deal.

After two weeks of formal training, Each new Franchise Partner is allocated their own businesses and Franchise mentor who shows them all the ropes for he first two weeks.

In fact they even do the door knocking for new franchisees who then can concentrate on making great coffee and getting to know their customers.

One of our Launch Specialists, Samuel Graham says he knows that a lot of new franchise partners get excited about their new business, but worry that the business will drop off after the Launch Specialist leaves

"Thats not the case" hestates" We ensure that the majority of the 2nd week of launch thenew Franchise Partneris doing the work (making coffee / servicing customers). We will observe and help if an issue arises. Once the Launch Specialist finishes and leaves the new Franchise Partner,we monitor via theirweekly KPI'sand run sheet weekly. These are great tools for us as business coaches to effectively steer thenew Franchise Partner in the right direction. They get quarterly visits and weekly phone calls. We are always there to assist. This will help them maintain there business level and only move in a positive direction!"

and David's recent success shows that this really does work

Cafe2U UK Wins Brand Builder Award

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Cafe2U has won the Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year Award, given by the British Franchise Association in recognition of the company’s growth, exceptional product offerings and strong brand.

Cafe2U received the award in June during the HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards ceremony, which honored companies in three categories.

“Cafe2U has experienced huge success expanding the business into new markets across the world,” said Sean Hammond, head of franchising at Express Newspapers. “First launching in Australia, the business successfully tapped into the growing coffee phenomenon in the UK and now the USA. The judging panel was highly impressed.”

The BFA adds, “Cafe2U has received the Express Newspaper Brand Builder Award for its success in bringing the premium coffee business to the workplace door, building its brand on high quality and reliability.”

Cafe2U has operated in Great Britain since 2006, after a dedicated customer in Sydney decided to relocate back home to the UK.

“The award demonstrates how respected and recognised  the Cafe2U brand  has become in many countries around the world ” says Cafe2U Managing Director Derek Black. “Both the British and the Australian industries are recognising the strength of  the Cafe2U brand"

Cafe2U gains more Golden Bean awards for its unique coffee blend.

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Cafe2U wins two Bronze medals in the internationally acclaimed Golden Bean coffee roasting comptetion.

The Cafe2U coffee blend was awarded two bronze medals by a select panel of industry leaders at the 2012/2013 Golden Bean Roasting Competition, which took place in Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The Cafe2U®Blend which was also recognised in 2011, received the bronze medals in the Milk Based (Latte) Category and Chain Store/Coffee Franchise (Espresso) Category.

Both categories were highly competitive, with over 250 different blends entered in the Milk Based (Latte) category, and over 60 Franchise Coffee Chains entered in the Chain Store/Coffee Franchise (Espresso) category. Across both categories, Cafe2U was the only mobile coffee franchise to be recognised and awarded at this prestigious competition, adding to its previous success in 2011.

Managing Director of Cafe2U®, Mr Derek Black was thrilled with the result. “To receive an award in the highly competitive Milk Based (Latte) category is significant for the brand, as more than ninety percent of coffee consumed in Australia is milk based. When you add to this the award in the Espresso category, this makes a real statement to consumers that our unique blend is suited to the tastes of all customers. What is most exciting is that we are exporting this fantastic blend to all our international markets, which means that we have the opportunity to share this success in countries that are still new to espresso style coffee”.

The two awards, coupled with the Golden Bean award received in 2010/2011 demonstrates that Cafe2U continues to deliver consistent, high quality coffee to its network of franchisees and their loyal customers. It also shows that all the hard work done by the team at Cafe2U in developing this unique blend, working closely with our roasting partner, has definitely been worthwhile. This is absolutely critical within a franchise network, as this helps in building confidence in each and every one of our Franchise Partners, that they themselves are operating and building their business with only the highest quality products and ingredients. In such a competitive industry, with this philosophy, it is no wonder Cafe2U® has experienced such rapid growth over the past 5 years.

Now in its 7th year, the Golden Bean is the world’s largest coffee roasting competition and this year, the competition saw over 100 of the industry's leading coffee roasters judging more than 1100 coffee blends across twelve highly competitive categories.

“This year, the quality of the coffee entered into the competition was of a very high standard and the judges were treated to some of the world’s greatest selections of finely produced coffees,”says Justin Metcalf, Head Judge of the competition.
