(NZ) Coffee on-site: a perfect tonic for the rebuild

One franchisor that fully understands the value of the Business Opportunities & Franchise Expo is Cafe2U, a new a fast-growing identity in the mobile coffee sector.
“Cafe2U approached the organisers of the Auckland Business Opportunities & Franchise Expo early in the planning of the Australian-based company’s launch into New Zealand to find a willing partner to assist in the development of a launch programme,” says Lerida Grant, marketing manager, Cafe2U Australia Pty Ltd.
“Franchise Expo worked closely with Cafe2U to help us devise the best plan for the Auckland Expo and also provided contact for a number of suppliers. Great synergies were also realised when the organisers offered a package for the Franchise Expo website which was once again developed to suit our requirements including a web presence and e-marketing programme.
“Our pre-show marketing plan created a good deal of brand awareness before the expo, so we could showcase our actual product and management team at the Expo to interested parties, many of whom had already done their homework before visiting us at the show. The personal interaction that the show offered allowed many potential franchise partners to make a final decision at the show. This resulted in the show being the most successful one we have attended – having attended franchising shows in Australia, UK and USA.”
Cafe2U launched in NZ in August 2012 and has done no specific South Island activity to date. The company sees the Christchurch Business Opportunities & Franchise Expo as an opportunity to introduce its award- winning franchise system to South Island.
“Since August we have launched five in the North Island and the Expo allows us the perfect avenue to introduce our international mobile coffee brand to the local market,” says Lerida Grant.
She adds, “The beauty of a Cafe2U franchise is that we provide all the training and support for anyone to become both an outstanding barista and business person. Our franchisees are motivated people who love being with other people and developing great customer relationships. We say to any potential franchisees that all they need to bring is their smile!”
The franchise has 12 territories available in the South Island including five in Christchurch.
“Starting a Cafe2U franchise will allow five lucky people to build a business that allows them to make a lifestyle choice of working flexible hours and choosing their customer base.
“Those people will be able to make sure that the people of Christchurch are always well serviced with excellent coffee and Cafe2U style snacks no matter where they are. Our mission is to serve the best espresso coffee to people in non- traditional locations and if that means temporary work premises, building sites or sporting grounds that’s a perfect fit with our core purpose.”
The stand number at the Expo is Stand 6, where people will get to meet Cafe2U international franchising manager Alan Biddle and NZ franchising manager, John Stanton.

For any interested parties who can’t make it to Christchurch, Cafe2U will also hold an information seminar in Auckland on Sunday 21st April. Registrations are on the Cafe2U website at
