What do you love about being on the Cafe2U team? |
I love being part of a highly professional Cafe2U team. The training my team has received, the ongoing support and of course the great tasting products, coffee, drinking chocolate etc. Also, I love making my own business decisions and being my own boss. Most of all I love talking with people on my daily rounds. |
|
What did you do before Cafe2U? |
I worked for a disability service for 13 years, most of that time in a sales role bringing work into four factories, which employed up to 400 employees with a disability. Before that, again in a sales role with San Remo Macaroni Company for 9 years. 15 years service with Coles Supermarkets, working my way up to a Store Manager. I’ve been a Cafe2U Franchise Partner for nearly 3 months and just love doing what I do! |
|
What's your favourite Cafe2U moment? |
At a recent event, working alongside my wife, step-son and son. It’s helped us all grow together as a family. At the same time we were delivering a well needed service to our local Soccer Club. |
|
What's your favourite Cafe2U drink? |
Latte Delight. |
|
What do you do to be involved in your local community? |
I am a member of the Narraweena Social Action Group and Byrnellifal Family Group from St John’s Catholic Church Narraweena. |

Wayside Chapel Christmas Party
On Christmas day, Michael and his lovely wife, Maricor attended the Wayside Chapel Christmas event. They started making coffee at 7:30am and with a 15 minute break, they were still going at 1:30pm. They made over 400 small cups on the day.
Stephaine from Wayside Chapel arranged some Christmas lunch for Michael & Maricor, and they we were pleased to sit down and join the others in good Christmas cheer.
Below is a lovely thank you note from Wayside Chapel:
"Dear Michael,
You did an astonishing job on Xmas day; sorry I did not predict how popular you would be. You added so much to the event, thank you. I will follow through in January to arrange formal thank yous for you and your suppliers. I am also happy to go out and do this in person if you think this would be the best way. Happy new year." Stephanie - Wayside Chapel"

Bear Cottage Annual Christmas Party
On Sunday the 11th of December, Cafe2U Cromer Dee-Why attended the Bear Cottage Christmas party which took place from 10am to 3pm. The Christmas party was a huge success and Bear Cottage were very grateful for Michael's services.

Below, is a thank you letter from Bear Cottage:
Borgnis Street Christmas Lights Display
Borgnis Street hosts one of the best Christmas light displays in Sydney in the lead up to Christmas. It serves as a magic place where children and families are presented with a live fairy tale. Every year this street comes alive and attracts people from all over Sydney.
Michael was also present serving coffees at this annual event, and he donated a percentage of his daily takings to the fund raiser. All monies raised at this event are donated to Bear Cottage, Salvation Army and Fire Brigade.
Some background information on the annual Borgnis Street Christmas lights display:
"Apparently 12 years ago two couples had decided to try and out-do each other with their Christmas lights and it had a knock-on effect with the rest of the street. A few years later people started putting cash into their letter boxes as a way of saying 'thank you'. So four years ago it was agreed that they would officially collect money for Bear Cottage in Manly (a residential holiday house for sick kids and their families) and now you can find fluoro-jacketed rotary club volunteers collecting money every night in Borgnis St for a month over the Christmas period."
