Being a lover of coffee, I recognised Cafe2U as an established and reputable brand amongst its competitors and wanted to be seen as a specialised barista.
As customer service is a quality I deem as essentially important in retail, I enjoy relishing in the enjoyment and satisfaction my customers expound each time when I serve them their daily coffee.

I worked at Qantas for the past 15 years in various roles, most recently finishing off as a Business Analyst.  I had always played with the idea of running a coffee business. After finally taking the leap of a major career change, here I am now enjoying and having fun in making coffees and fulfilling a long life dream.

As I have taken over the business since January 2011, I would have to say I look forward to my customers commenting on how great the coffee tastes.  I get great delight at seeing some regulars waiting for me at my arrival destination to make them their first coffee for the morning, as well as seeing their smile when I arrive knowing its coffee time.  Another great element is working in a business where there is a flexibility of working hours, as well as the fact that I am my own boss, and have the creative independence of putting my skills and energies into the franchise and watching the output.

Ever since working as part of Cafe2U, my favourite drink has changed from a Cappuccino to a good strong Latte with less milk.

As I become more recognised, I hope to be invited to more local community events and have the opportunity to show my skills and friendly service.  I want to be the first person that organiser’s consider when co-ordinating a local event.  I want to be able to reach a highlight where customers will acknowledge me on a first name basis when attending these events as well as show support of community via various avenues.
Some of my recent appearances in the local community included:
I am a constant fixture on the hill of Shark Park at all home games for the Cronulla Sharks Rugby League first grade.

I have the privilege of providing my service to the patrons of the Como Craft & Antique Markets every 2nd Sunday of the month, which are held on the school grounds of Como Public School. A percentage of my takings are also contributed to the school. Como Craft & Antique Markets
I immensely enjoyed serving coffee to the parents and iced smoothies and frappes for the children when Mater Dei Primary School, Blakehurst held their annual disco to raise funds for new and improved facilities.  I was happy to contribute a percentage of my takings to the schools cause.
