Why have you chosen to join the Cafe2U team? |
Being a lover of coffee, I recognised Cafe2U as an established and reputable brand amongst its competitors and wanted to be seen as a specialised barista. |
|
What did you do before Cafe2U? |
I worked at Qantas for the past 15 years in various roles, most recently finishing off as a Business Analyst. I had always played with the idea of running a coffee business. After finally taking the leap of a major career change, here I am now enjoying and having fun in making coffees and fulfilling a long life dream. |
|
What are you most looking forward to as a Cafe2U Franchise Partner? |
As I have taken over the business since January 2011, I would have to say I look forward to my customers commenting on how great the coffee tastes. I get great delight at seeing some regulars waiting for me at my arrival destination to make them their first coffee for the morning, as well as seeing their smile when I arrive knowing its coffee time. Another great element is working in a business where there is a flexibility of working hours, as well as the fact that I am my own boss, and have the creative independence of putting my skills and energies into the franchise and watching the output. |
|
What's your favourite Cafe2U drink? |
Ever since working as part of Cafe2U, my favourite drink has changed from a Cappuccino to a good strong Latte with less milk. |

How do you hope to be involved in your local community? |
As I become more recognised, I hope to be invited to more local community events and have the opportunity to show my skills and friendly service. I want to be the first person that organiser’s consider when co-ordinating a local event. I want to be able to reach a highlight where customers will acknowledge me on a first name basis when attending these events as well as show support of community via various avenues. I have the privilege of providing my service to the patrons of the Como Craft & Antique Markets every 2nd Sunday of the month, which are held on the school grounds of Como Public School. A percentage of my takings are also contributed to the school. Como Craft & Antique Markets |

Did you know that Nick was present at the Step Into Life fun run, an organisation promoting a healthy lifestyle which Nick strongly believes in. Nick is pictured here with members of Step Into Life (Personal Trainers and their members). The fun run was held at Dolls Point on Sunday 22nd May, and Nick was in attendance bright and early and chirpy from 6:30am. Lolita, who is one of the trainers from Step Into Life Sutherland, organised for Nick to attend their fun run and be on available to hand out the hot coffees.
