What do you love about being on the Cafe2U team? |
I enjoy seeing my customers each day and making their day by delivering them a fantastic coffee. Even if they are having a bad day, they walk away with a smile on their face and that’s always great to see. |
|
What did you do before Cafe2U? |
I worked as a chef for 20 years, I had long service leave and thought there must be something better than working split shifts and weekends.......then came along Cafe2u and I have never looked back since. |
|
What's your favourite Cafe2U moment? |
Being awarded the WA & National Franchisee of the Year 2010 award in recognition of having shown an outstanding performance in all aspects of the coffee franchise system. |
|
What's your favourite Cafe2U drink? |
Short Macchiato – Thanks to Jarrod (Franchise Development Manager), you can’t beat that coffee hit. |
|
What do you do to be involved in your local community? |
We are actively involved in supporting KTM Junior Offroad Events in WA which involves following the the team around WA for the winter racing season - usually its only one weekend per month. |

March
The 2012 Australian Rowing Championships and Interstate Regatta
This event was held at the newly developed Champion Lakes course in Perth. This is the first national event held by Western Australia since its first national championships in 1995 with athletes set to race at school, age, club and elite level between the 5th and 11th of March.

A total of 1286 athletes entered the 93 events on offer across the regatta.
Cafe2U Kenwick-Maddington serviced the event each afternoon and for the full days on the weekend. It was great to be involved in such a major event and seeing the elite athletes getting ready for the 2012 London Olympics.

Pictured below was Cafe2U Kenwick-Maddington's number one customer - Andy & Mandy's Godson, Hudson:

Testimonial from a very happy customer:

November
A work day MO!
The 'mo' at week two:

The 'mo' at week one:

"Movember" in November
Its MOVEMBER, the month formerly known as November, dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate cancer and male depression. I have decided to get involved and have committed to growing my moustache for the entire month of November. This I know will generate conversation, cotroversy and laughter!
I am doing this because close to 3,000 men die of prostrate cancer in Australia each year and one in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime.
This is a cause I feel strongly about and I'm asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to me.
To help, you can do either of the following:
- click this link http://au.movember.com/mospace/814836/ and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account
- write a check payable to Movember Foundation, referencing my registration number 814836 and mailing this to:
Movember Foundation, PO Box 292, Prahan, VIC, 3181
Through the Movember Foundation and its men's health partners, PCFA and Beyondblue: the national depression initiative; Movember is funding world class research, educational and support programs which would otherwise not be possible.
