What do you love about being on the Cafe2U team?	I wanted to be my own boss and chose my own destiny. With the help and support I am receiving from Head Office who only want to make me successful was the reason for chosing Cafe2U.
What did you do before Cafe2U?	I was a store manager at KFC. I was 23 years with company and no longer happy. This was my only job previous to joining Cafe2U. I wish I had started earlier with Cafe2U!
What's your favourite Cafe2U moment?	Building a great business not only with my customers but also other Franchise Partners. I can't wait to make long lasting relationships with people and making them happy.
What's your favourite Cafe2U drink?	Flat white.
What do you do to be involved in your local community?	I want to sponsor the local sporting community. With many clubs in my area, I enjoy watching all sports but most of all I love watching my 2 daughters Isabella and Mackenzie play netball. There is nothing better than selling coffee on a Saturday morning at the local sports clubs and watching the girls play netball!

December 2011

On a windy evening, Cafe2U took part in the Goolwa Christmas Pagent followed by Carols in the local park and finally fireworks. As the sun went down, the coffee sales went crazy as the air temperature cooled right down. Cafe2U Lonsdale kept up the pace and served all customers without running out of anything.

November 2011

Cafe2U took part in the Feast Festival event in the South of Adelaide. A great day was had with music and entertainment. The highlight would have been the "Best Dressed Dog" competition with many owners and tired dogs getting in costumes for the day!

October 2011

On a lovely Saturday afternoon, Cafe2U was at the Bent Creek Winery as part of a lazy afternoon. With wine, food, entertainment and of course Cafe2U, it was a very delightful afternoon.

August 2011 

Cafe2U Operators in Adelaide decided to get behind the refit of the Neo Natal Unit at the Flinders Medical Centre by bidding and winning the rights to appear on Jodie's Belly Billboard for a week. This fundraising event was hosted on Mix 102.3 FM.

Cafe2U was also advertised on air for the week and on top of the sponsorship amount, Cafe2U Operators collected extra funds which resulted in a total of $1800 being raised.

 

July 2011

Junior Football Carnival

Cafe2U Lonsdale took part in a round-robin event of all the Junior Football Clubs in the South of Adelaide. Lonsdale Football club hosted the event. Presented by a cold winters day, coffee was definately the flavour of the day!

May 2011

Welcome to the Latest Arrival to the Cafe2U Lonsdale Team!

In the early hours of Thursday May 26th 2011, Harrison Peter Wessel, AKA "harry" was born. Weighing in at 8 lb 7 oz, he decided to come into the world early, with the van unable to complete it's daily run! All customers were frantically contacted and had to wait until the following day for their favourite cup of coffee.



May was a busy month for Cafe2U Lonsdale with a successful Mothers Day Classic followed by the RSPCA Million Paws walk. Both these events were held at Elder Park in the middle of the City.



Cafe2U was also involved in "The Biggest Morning Tea". A local business invited all business' from the local area to participate in this charity event. Cafe2U Lonsdale donated part of their time and subsidised coffee on the day for a worthy cause.

April 2011

In April Cafe2U Lonsdale was invited to attend the Straphalbyne Show Jumping Club on a two day event. Many a coffee was served not only to specvtators but the competitors as well!



March 2011

Cafe2U Lonsdale attended Indofest 2011. This was the annual Indonesian Festival held in the City Of Adelaide. With a cold chilly day many hot coffees and hot chocolates were served to the crowd.

February 2011

Flotilla for Kids

Cafe2U Lonsdale took part in this event to support childhood cancer. This is a water based event with over 85 boats of all sorts cruising down the Port River.  Cafe2U set up early at the cruising yacht club to serve hoy coffee to all the entrants.





Local School Acquaintance Night

Cafe2U Lonsdale sponsored my own Childrens  acquaintance night. Coffee was served to Parents, Friends and Teachers in the early evening while children introduced teachers to their family.


 
Crush

Crush is a Food and Wine Festival set in the Adelaide Hills. Cafe2U was at the picturesque K1 winery who hosted 3 local wineries of D'Arenburg, Lazy Ballerina and Griffin wines to create the Kuipto Cluster. Great food from the Lacavore was available. Although it was a very hot day at over 42C, coffee was served in the morning rush followed by the stampede of frappes all afternoon to cool patrons down.








January 2011

Cafe2U Lonsdale was invited to attend the 37th Compass Cup on 22nd January, 2011. This is Australia's only cow race!  With great weather of 26C coffee was the go in the morning followed by frappes in the afternoon!
